Wrightwood to Acton KOA
Two walking days after the zero, a tent on a ridge and a replacement sleeping pad shipped ahead.

I left Wrightwood on day 26 and called the Strava entry “Full gas after zero”. I did 21.2 miles that day, then another 19.6 into Acton KOA.
The first evening I had the tent on a ridge. There was a sunset through the door, with another tent just below mine.
Quoted lines are from my 2021 logs, verbatim.

I’d ordered a replacement sleeping pad while I was in Wrightwood. The Exped pad came from 2 Foot Adventures, the shop I’d used in Julian, and was delivered to Acton KOA on May 26.
The order also had two ProBar Superfruit Slam bars and four Primal Strips, two Texas BBQ and two Mesquite Lime. A little food top-up with the pad.
Tehachapi was next, with Agua Dulce and the aqueduct in between.

The food, then and now
I believe Acton KOA is where I picked up my first resupply box. The bars and jerky came in the same package as the sleeping pad. I don’t remember a meal at the KOA.
The campground now calls itself Action Camp, also listed as Los Angeles RV Resort. For a town resupply, hikers reported Acton Market Country Store had a vegetable sandwich and could make pizza with vegan cheese supplied by the customer in May 2024. The store is still listed at 32003 Crown Valley Road; check the deli before counting on that request. Current campground and store listing checked October 8, 2026.
